Generally Speaking

The Kaskazi (northerly) trade winds provide reliable conditions from mid December through to the start of March.  It blows 10 knots in the morning providing perfect conditions for beginners and by early afternoon you are just about guaranteed 16-22 knots of warm, side-shore wind.  So you can get out on the water and play till you drop!

The Kuzi (southerly) trade winds blow from June to September blowing side to side-onshore 15-30 knots.  The stronger winds generally bring some decent swell with them producing 3ft – 9ft waves on the reef.  You will still find flat water conditions inside the reef so you have a variety of riding conditions to choose from.  The water is slightly colder at this time of year (24/27°C) but the strong winds make this an excellent time to come.  Still no need for wetsuits, though a rash-vest is a good idea to keep the sun off!
