SUP

We are proud to be the first in East Africa to offer SUP courses and rentals!

Stand up paddle surfing started with the Hawaiians years and years ago, before regular surfing started, mainly as a method of fishing.  The reason for this, was that due to their big shore breaks or reef breaks they were unable to go in and out on regular boats, and thus SUP was born!

For those of you who have never heard of SUP, this is the latest trend in water sports.  SUP stands for ‘Stand Up Paddle’ surf which is basically a long board (approx 11ft long), that you stand up on propelling yourself with a single-ended paddle.  This sport is ideal for everyone, from flat water cruising to ‘small wave’ surfing.  Want to stay fit for Kitesurfing or Windsurfing? – this is the workout for non windy days.
So for all of you that sat around doing nothing while waiting for wind to go kite surfing, those days are over!
