H2O Extreme is a family-run business, founded by Eno & Boris Polo and Craig & Jason Rogers in 2003.
The guys were born and brought up in Kenya and windsurfed on Diani Beach as soon as they could walk! Craig has been windsurfing since age 7 and trained as an RYA Windsurf Instructor in 1993. Jason moved to kite surfing from windsurfing in 1999 and worked as an instructor in the UK even before the IKO/BKSA accreditation system was fully-fledged. Jason was incidentally the first kite surfer on the south coast of Kenya. Boris worked as a tennis and dinghy instructor for Club Med and as a scuba-dive instructor for Diving the Crab before joining H2O Extreme which he now manages. Eno used to be a tennis professional and with a successful career at Nike under his belt, oversees the financial side of the business.
Frustrated by the lack of good windsurf schools in Kenya and excited by the future of kite surfing in Kenya, the guys set up H2O Extreme at ‘Nomads’ in late 2003 and now have two other centers, one at Forty Thieves Beach Bar and the other at The Kenyaway Kite Village on Galu Beach.
